Landlady was grumpy last night and we had to wait 55 mins for a starter. Pate was good and young lad serving was friendly. Eventually rib eye turned up and plate looks great but it wasn't. Locals eating next table had a drunk bird swearing and being annoying and tbh expected landlord to say something as young kids about. I couldn't be bothered after 2 hours of being in the pub and just wanted to eat and leave. Would recommend King's Head or Zaks for better ambience and food. girlfriend had the plaice which was lots of batter not so much fish.In her words hot and tasteless. Disappointing.
